As a Senior Project Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of our projects by providing accurate and timely financial information.
This is a permanent position that offers excellent growth opportunities and a chance to work on exciting engineering projects.
Responsibilities:
1.
Financial Management:
Manage all financial aspects of multiple engineering projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
Ensure compliance with project budgets and financial goals.
2.
Project Accounting:
Perform project accounting activities, including tracking project expenses, preparing project budgets, and analyzing project profitability.
Ensure accurate and timely invoicing and revenue recognition.
3.
AIA Billing:
Expertise in AIA billing is essential.
Prepare and submit AIA billing applications accurately and in a timely manner.
Collaborate with project managers and clients to resolve any billing discrepancies.
4.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze financial reports, including project financial statements, variance analysis, and cash flow projections.
Provide recommendations for improving project financial performance.
5.
Cost Analysis:
Conduct cost analysis and cost control activities to identify potential cost savings and improve project profitability.
Collaborate with project teams to develop cost estimates and monitor project costs throughout the project lifecycle.
6.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and industry regulations.
Assist with internal and external audits as needed.
7.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and procurement, to gather project financial data and provide financial insights.
Act as a financial advisor to the project teams, providing guidance on financial matters.
8.
Process Improvement:
Continuously review and improve project accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Identify areas for automation and implement best practices.
9.
Mentoring and Training:
Provide guidance and support to junior project accountants.
Conduct training sessions to enhance the team's understanding of project accounting principles and processes.
Qualifications:
1.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2.
CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
3.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a project accountant, preferably in the engineering industry.
4.
Strong expertise in AIA billing is essential.
5.
Proficient in project accounting software and ERP systems.
6.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex financial data.
8.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
9.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
10.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
11.
Knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and cost control.
12.
Experience with internal and external audits.
13.
Proven ability to mentor and train junior team members.
14.
Self-motivated and proactive with a desire for continuous learning and professional growth.
